Valley Sports ReportMARATHON — Freshman Reese Mills ran to a top-20 finish in the unseeded girls race here Saturday to pace Tioga's efforts at the rugged Marathon Cross Country Invitational.
Mills clocked in at 23:25.4 on the 3.1-mile course at the Appleby Elementary School.
On the boys side, senior Talon Wood finished 27th in the unseeded race, clocking in at 19:30, and freshman Logan Bensley was 126th in 24:47.
JUNIOR HIGH
Eighth-grader Mason Rink finished 34th in a time of 11:14.1 on the 1.5-mile course to pace Tioga's efforts in the Small School junior high race.
Eighth-grader Andrew Mills was 78th in 13:44.8.
On the girls side, 8th-grader Jaida Philhower finished 53rd in a time 15:19.6, and 8th-grader Noel Williams was 65th in 18:37.1.
