Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — Tioga opens the Section IV, Class C playoffs at home against Marathon Wednesday afternoon, while the final regular-season events — Waverly girls swimming, and Athens and Waverly volleyball — of the 2025 fall season.

Class C Opening Round
9-Marathon (8-5-1) at 8-Tioga (7-7-1), 3:30 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a 1-0 double-OT loss to Southern Cayuga in the IAC Small School Championship game Saturday, while the Olympians edged Dryden, 2-1.
Marathon slipped past Tioga, 3-2, in the season opened on Aug. 28.
GIRLS SWIMMING
Waverly (6-0), Owego at Greene, 5:30 p.m.: Unbeaten Waverly closes out the regular season with a rare double-dual against Owego and Greene at Greene.
VOLLEYBALL
Chenango Valley at Waverly, 5:30 p.m. JV start
Athens at Williamson, 6 p.m. JV start
