CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — Athens grad Matt Machmer continued his strong play on both sides of the ball in Mansfield's 32-21 win over Chestnut Hill here Saturday night in sprint football action.
Machmer had two catches for 59 yards, including a 28-yard TD pass early in the fourth quarter that put the Mountaineers ahead, 25-21.
Machmer also had two solo tackles, and his fourth interception of the season.
On the season, Machmer has four receptions for 124 yards (31 yards per catch) and three TDs. He also has one carry for seven yards.
Defensively, Machmer has 14 tackles, including 10 solo stops, and four interceptions, including a 60-yard pick-6. He also has one blocked kick.
Athens grad Damian Hudson had one carry for four yards in the win.
Mansfield, now 5-1, returns home to play Army Saturday afternoon in its final home game of the season.
