MORRISVILLE — Athens grad junior Mason Lister put good up numbers for 2 1/2 quarters before exiting the game with an injury as St. John Fisher snapped a two-game losing streak with a 21-7 win over Morrisville here Saturday afternoon.
Lister completed 16 of 22 passes for 148 yards, two TDs, and two interceptions. He also had 58 yards on nine carries.
In the last three plays before his exit, Lister had back-to-back runs of 14 yards, and then 3 yards on the play in which he was injured midway through the third quarter. St. John Fisher led 14-7.
Two weeks ago in a 31-7 loss to nationally-ranked Cortland, Lister completed 12 of 21 passes for 115 yards, and three interceptions. He also gained 24 yards on eight carries.
Last week in a 31-7 loss to Utica University, Lister completed 4 of 7 passes for 49 yards. He ran for 36 yards on nine carries.
On the season, Lister has completed 62.7 percent (94 of 150) of his passes for 1,309 yards, 10 TDs, and five interceptions. He has also rushed for 313 yards and two TDs on 87 carries.
St. John Fisher, now 6-3, wraps up the regular season Saturday when it hosts Alfred State.
