FREDERICK, Md. — Athens grad Taylar Fisher, a junior on the Misericordia women's swim team, was a double-winner, and fellow Athens grad Taegan Williams, also a junior, notched one win in helping Misericordia to victories over Hood College and Lycoming College in a recent double-dual.
Fisher won the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:54.26. She also swam the anchor on the first-place 200-yard freestyle relay, which logged a time of 1:49.33. Fisher swam her leg in 28.91 seconds.
She was third in the 400-yard IM in a time of 5:42.78.
Fisher and Williams swam on the third-place 200-yard medley relay. Fisher swam the breaststroke leg in 39.89 seconds, and Williams swam the butterfly in 30.81 seconds.
Williams won the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:48.56. She was third in the 100 free in a time of 1:04.4.
Williams also swam anchor on the third-place 200-yard free relay, which logged a time of 1:55.94. Williams swam her leg in 28.29 seconds.
Fisher and Williams each had second-place finishes earlier in the season for the Cougars, who are 4-1 on the season.
Misericordia returns to action this weekend when it hosts the two-day Cougar Splash Invitational.
