NEW YORK STATE GIRLS SWIMMING & DIVING: KITTLE LEADS WAVERLY CONTINGENT INTO STATE MEET (2025-11-19)

WEBSTER, N.Y. — Senior Mira Kittle is a top-seven seed in two individual events, and is part of a fourth-seeded Waverly relay here this weekend at the New York State Swimming & Diving Championships at the Webster Aquatic Center.

Kittle will team with senior Olivia Cheresnowsky, and freshman Megan Atanasoff and Natalie Steck in the 200-yard medley relay, which is seeded fourth with a seed time of 1:47.63. The top seed has a time of 1:43.25, and the second seed is 1:46.71.

Kittle is the fifth seed in the 100-yard backstroke with a seed time of 56.72 seconds. The top seed has a time of 54.38 seconds.

Kittle is the seventh seed in the 50-yard freestyle with a seed time of 23.63 seconds, and Atanasoff is the 20th seed at 24.49 seconds. The top seed has a time of 23.13 seconds.

Waverly's 200-yard freestyle relay foursome of sophomore Lauryn Welles, and freshmen Audrey Kellogg, Brynna Twedt and Ayla Wheeler is the 11th seed with a seed time of 1:39.49. The top seed has a time of 1:36.16, and the eighth seed has a time of 1:39.23.

Waverly's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Kittle, Cheresnowsky, Atanasoff and Kellogg is the 20th seed at 3:42.12. The top seed has a time of 3:33.01, and the eighth seed is at 3:37.49.

Welles is the 21st seed in the 100-yard freestyle with a seed time of 53.89 seconds. The top seed time is 50.7 seconds.

Owego sophomore Ayla Young is the fourth seed in the 1-meter diving competition with a seed score of 548.5. Manhassett senior Victoria Wang is the top seed at 579.65 points.

The swimming preliminaries begins at 10 a.m. Friday, with the finals set to begin Saturday at 10 a.m.
