Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — The fall season in the Valley is down to just Tioga football, but the winter season tips off this week with Tioga bowling and the Waverly girls basketball teams opening play.
There are just four events on the docket this week:
TUESDAY
• The Tioga bowling teams host Watkins Glen at the Valley Bowling Center to open the 2025-26 winter sports season.
FRIDAY
• Tioga squares off with unbeaten Newfane of Section V in the New York State Class D semifinals at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. Game time is 3 p.m.
• The Waverly girls will take on Massena in the opening round of the Baldwinsville Tip-Off Tournament.
SATURDAY
• Waverly will play in either the consolation or championship game of the Baldwinsville Tip-Off Tournament.
