IAC BOWLING: TIOGA DEFEATS CANDOR; TIGER GIRLS PREVAIL IN CLOSE BATTLE (2025-12-05)

WAVERLY — Tioga came away with a pair of victories against Candor at Valley Bowling Center here Thursday with the Tiger girls winning a close battle.

GIRLS
Tioga 3, Candor 1
The Tioga girls dropped the opening game, 703-658, but squeaked out a 712-709 win in game two to even things up. The Tigers won the decisive final game, 745-674, to take the total pinfall, 2115-2086.

Kelsey Helmich led Tioga with a 576 series which included games of 206 and 201. Liberty Magner rolled a 179-490, Katie Bleiler scored a 141-351, Sabrina Ellis shot 123-338, Kelsey Ellis added a 138-332 and Madison Joyce tacked on a 115-314.

The Coyotes’ Calli Marsh was the top girls, posting a 216-580. Makenna Nixon contributed 151-442, Krysten Jackson chipped in with a 145-366, Allison Johnston shot 130-335, Raina Schneider-Kern had a137-331 and Zoe Travis added a 118-307.

BOYS
Tioga 4, Candor 0
The Coyotes only have four boys on the team so Tioga cruised to a 2383-1890 total pinfall advantage. The Tigers won the games by scores of 783-658, 811-543 and 789-689.

Nick Slater torched the lanes with a 667 series which included games of 248 and 223. Charles Holmes nailed down a 237 game on the way to a 587 series.

Carter Allen had a 141-390, Skyler Nelson shot a pair of 128s and finished at 365, Aaron Belles rolled a 121-359 and Emery Medcalf added a 124-346.

Candor was paced by Stanley Winnick’s 208-544 and Malcolm Jackson with a 212-538. Riley Bower pitched in with a 167-407 and Conner Kellogg added a 140-401.
