Valley Sports ReportATHENS — Senior Mikyah Brown placed third in her weight class to pace Sayre here Saturday at the Jarvis Memorial Girls Wrestling Tournament.
Brown posted a 3-2 record to place third in the 170-pound bracket.
Brown opened her day with a 44-second fall over Tsel Meg Tsogsaikhan of Milton, and followed it up with a pin of Wellsboro's Riley Kilburn in 4:31.
After consecutive losses to returning state qualifiers Isabella Gottschall of Jersey Shore and Abigail Wagner of Athens, Brown decked Finneytown's Rochelle Ross in 2:21 in the third-place match.
Sophomore Chaylin Roloson was 0-5 in the 148-pound weight class, and freshman Isabella Stamile was 0-4 in the 100-pound bracket.
