STAC JV BOYS BASKETBALL: STRONG SECOND HALF LIFTS WAVERLY TO 69-49 WIN OVER WINDSOR (2025-12-24)

WINDSOR — After a back-and-forth first half, Waverly played a strong third quarter to take control in a 69-49 win over Windsor here Monday evening in STAC junior varsity boys basketball action.

Waverly led 15-11 after the first quarter, but Windsor used a 21-14 spurt to take a 32-29 lead into the halftime intermission.

The Wolverines came out strong in the third quarter with a 23-11 run to take a 52-43 lead into the final eight minutes.

Waverly closed out the game with a 17-6 blitz.

Maddex Presher led Waverly with 24 points and three steals, and
Brody Lambert had 16 points and 12 steals.

Drew Croft added 14 points, eight steals and seven rebounds in the win, and Axel Murray had 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots.

Waverly, now 4-2, returns to action against Troy after the New Year.
