WAVERLY — Adrianna Foster fueled a big first half for Waverly in a 53-18 win over Wyalusing here Monday night in non-league junior varsity girls basketball action.
Foster scored six points in the first quarter to help Waverly to a 12-4 lead. She scored six more points in a 15-3 second-quarter blitz that extended the lead to 27-7 at the half.
Waverly used a 9-6 spurt in the third quarter to take a 36-13 lead into the final eight minutes.
Kezlyn DeKay buried a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and scored eight points, and Raygane Oakes added five points, including a 3-pointer, in a 17-5 game-closing run.
Foster and DeKay, who hit a trio of 3-pointers, led Waverly 14 points apiece, while Oakes had seven points, Taylin Gonzalez added six points, and Sophia Dorsey chipped in with four points.
