NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: NEB PULLS AWAY EARLY IN 62-16 WIN OVER SAYRE (2026-01-09)

LERAYSVILLE — Northeast Bradford jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter, and rolled to a 62-16 win over Sayre here Friday night in NTL Small School girls basketball action.

The Panthers led 16-4 at the end of the first quarter, then used a 16-5 run in the second quarter to take a 31-9 lead into the halftime locker room.

A 19-1 NEB blitz in the third quarter put to rest any doubts, and extended the lead to 51-10 entering the fourth quarter.

Senior Rylee Lantz led Sayre with nine points, four rebounds, two steals, and one blocked shot, while senior Olivia Thompson contributed six steals, two blocked shots and two assists, Brooklyn Roberts pulled down four boards, and sophomore McKenna Parrish had three steals.

Mallorie Maynard led NEB with 17 points, including four 3-pointers, while Aurelia Kolesar and Leah Beebe, who had a trio of 3-pointers, added 16 points apiece.

Sayre returns to action Wednesday at North Penn-Liberty.
