STAC BOWLING: WAVERLY BOYS, GIRLS SWEEP SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY (2026-01-12)

WAVERLY — Waverly had four bowlers roll 600 series in a sweep of Susquehanna Valley Monday afternoon in STAC boys bowling action, while the Lady Wolverines also won a 5-0 decision here at the Valley Bowling Center.

BOYS
Waverly 5, Susquehanna Valley 0

Sophomore Griff Walter led the Wolverines to a sweep of the Sabers.

Waverly opened with a 1,109-1,075 win, then followed it up with wins of 1,084-1,028 and 948-903 for a total-pinfall win of 3,141 to 3,006.

Walter rolled a 663 series on games of 204, 234, and 225, while junior Maison Apgar shot a 647 on games of 243, 224, and 180, and freshman Colton Santalucia had a 635 series on games of 214, 209, and 212.

Senior Derek Johnson shot a 618 for the Wolverines on games of 220, 224, and 174, and senior Tristan Campbell added a 578, including a 228 in the first game.

Coleson Steen led four SV bowlers with 600 series, rolling a 661 series.

GIRLS
Waverly 5, Susquehanna Valley 0

Karis Hayes led Waverly to a convincing sweep of Susquehanna Valley.

Waverly won the first game 870-597, then followed it up with wins of 716-654 and 815-672 for a total-pinfall win of 2,401 to 1,923.

Harris rolled a 528 series, including a 205 in the first game, while Rylie Witman shot a 506, and Aby Apgar had a 488.

Ariel Houseknecht added a 479 series for the Wolverines, and Emmalynn Vanderpool tacked on a 400.

Allicyn Bisaha led SV with a 517 series.

Waverly returns to action Wednesday at Windsor.
