SAYRE'S LANTZ RECOGNIZED FOR 500 CAREER REBOUNDS

SAYRE — Canton held Sayre without a field goal until the fourth quarter in a 47-9 win here Friday night in NTL girls basketball action.
The Warriors opened the game with a 17-2 first-quarter, and extended the lead to 32-4.
All four points were scored at the free-throw line by senior Rylee Lantz.
Sayre's only field goal of the game was a 3-pointer by sophomore McKenna Parrish in the fourth quarter.
Lantz, who was recognized for reaching the 500-rebound milestone Monday at Williamson, led Sayre with five points, 17 rebounds, and four blocked shots, while Parrish had three points and two rebounds, and senior Olivia Thompson had three boards and two steals.
Sayre returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Troy.
