Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — Wrestling takes center stage this week with the Windsor Girls Invitational kicking things off Monday, the Section IV Division 2 Duals on Wednesday, and the IAC and STAC Championships on Saturday
There are 31 events on this week's docket, including seven on Friday and Saturday.
The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:
MONDAY (1)
• Waverly and Tioga will be in action at the Windsor Black Knights Girls Wrestling Invitional.
TUESDAY (5)
• Athens hosts Canton in an NTL girls basketball tilt.
• The Tioga boys boys host arch-rival Newark Valley in a renewal of their IAC boys hoop rivalry.
• The Sayre girls hosts NTL Large School-leading Troy on the hardwoods.
WEDNESDAY (6)
• Tioga and Waverly are the top seeds at the Section IV, Division 2 Duals at Tioga.
• Athens hosts Towanda in an NTL wrestling dual.
THURSDAY (5)
• Waverly hosts Owego in a renewal of their STAC Central Division girls hoop rivalry.
• Tioga hosts Owego and Chenango Forks in girls wrestling duals.
• Tioga hosts Lansing on the hardwoods at the Valley Bowling Center.
FRIDAY (7)
• Sayre hosts North Penn-Mansfield in an NTL boys hoop contest.
• Tioga hosts Marathon in an IAC Small School boys basketball crossover game.
• Athens hosts Northeast Bradford in an NTL boys hoop match-up.
SATURDAY (7)
• Waverly is in action at the STAC Wrestling Championships at Binghamton High School.
• Tioga is at Watkins Glen for the IAC Wrestling Championships.
