Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — The Section IV, Division 2 Wrestling Duals headlines a busy Wednesday night of action in the Valley, but there's also an NTL match with Athens hosting longtime rival Athens.
WRESTLING
Section IV, Division 2 Duals, 4:30 p.m. @ Tioga: Tioga and Waverly, the top two ranked teams in Division 2 in New York State, are the top two seeds here Wednesday as the postseason kicks off at the Section IV, Division 2 Duals.
Tioga, now 6-0, fresh off its 44-29 win over Waverly Saturday night, is the No. 1 seed Wednesday, while Waverly, now 10-3, is the 2-seed.
Third-seed Chenango Valley (8-3) will square off with sixth-seeded Deposit-Hancock (17-6) in the quarterfinals. The winner will face Waverly in the semifinals.
Fourth-seeded Walton (8-5) will face fifth-seeded Susquehanna Valley (8-6) in the quarterfinals. The winner will face Tioga in the semifinals.
The quarter-final round begins at 4:30 p.m.
