Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — Postseason wrestling takes center stage Saturday with the Section IV, Division 2 qualifiers at Waverly and Newark Valley.
WRESTLING
Waverly HOSTS Section IV, Division 2 Qualifier A, 10 a.m.: Waverly hosts Qualifier A, which also includes Owego, Bainbridge-Guilford /Afton-Harpursville, Deposit-Hancock, Dryden, Edison, Groton, Norwich, Schuyler, Susquehanna Valley, Trumansburg, Unatego-Unadilla Valley-Franklin and Windsor.
Waverly has three top seeds in junior Rhylee Stotler (31-7 at 126 pounds), senior Cooper Robinson (28-6 at 157), and senior Troy Beeman (28-5 at 285), as well as three 2-seeds in junior Matthias Welles (32-4 at 215), junior Daltton Davis (34-8 at 138)), and freshman Avery Bowman (22-16 at 118).
Junior Parker Larson (24-14) is the fourth seed at 144 pounds
Tioga at Section IV, Division 2 Qualifier B, 10 a.m. @ Newark Valley: The Qualifier B field is comprised of Newark Valley, Tioga, SVEC, Chenango Valley, Lansing, Marathon, Moravia, Oneonta, Oxford-Greene, Sidney, Walton-Delhi and Whitney Point.
Tioga has four top seeds in sophomore Drayke Ulrich (29-11 at 103 pounds), junior Declan McKee (31-2 at 110), senior Jayden Duncanson (32-1 at 138), and sophomore Mark McCane (20-9), and three 2-seeds in senior Logan Bellis (24-8 at 118 pounds), senior Kadin Cole (26-8 at 126 pounds), senior Aiden Black (15-14 at 165),
Junior James Howey (16-12) is the third seed at 190 pounds.
