TIOGA CENTER — Tioga's big men — junior Gavin Kithcart and senior Dominic Palmer — combined for 44 points to lead Tioga to a 63-47 win over Dryden here Saturday afternoon in IAC Large School boys basketball crossover action.
Kithcart pumped in 10 points in the first quarter, while Palmer added six points, and junior Jackson Bombard scored five points, including a 3-pointer, in Tioga's game-opening 21-13 run.
Palmer scored eight points in the second quarter, and senior James miller knocked down a 3-pointer to spark Tioga in a 15-7 run that extended the lead to 36-20 at the half.
Kithcart poured in 12 points and Bombard added four in the third quarter as Tioga used a 20-14 advantage to run its lead to 56-34 heading into the final eight minutes.
Kithcart led Tioga with 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Palmer had 20 points and seven rebounds, while Bombard added 12 points and six assists, and senior Brady Landmesser had four points, five boards and six assists.
Tioga, now 9-8, hosts Union Springs Tuesday.
