THE VALLEY — The week starts with a rare basketball doubleheader at Athens on Monday, and with the Section IV girls and boys wrestling championships on Friday and Saturday as the basketball season's regular season draws to a close.

There are 17 games on the docket this week, including seven on Tuesday.

The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

MONDAY (4)
•  Athens hosts Wyalusing in a rare doubleheader of JV and varsity boys and girls basketball action.

•  The Sayre girls host North Penn-Liberty in their final home basketball game of the Eason.

TUESDAY (7)
•  The Tioga girls close out the 2024-25 season at home against Union Springs.

•  The Waverly girls hit the road to take on STAC divisional rival Owego on the basketball hardwoods.

WEDNESDAY (1)
•  Waverly hosts Owego in a STAC Central Division boys basketball match-up.

THURSDAY (0)

FRIDAY (3)
•  The Tioga and Waverly girls will compete at the Section IV Wrestling Championships at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton.
