BLOOMSBURG — Unbeaten Central Columbia proved its top seed here Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the District 4, Class 4A girls basketball playoffs with a 64-20 win over eighth-seeded Athens.
The Blue Jays raced out to a 28-2 first-quarter lead, then scored the first 16 points of the second quarter, and led 47-10 at the halftime intermission.
Playing its reserves liberally in the second half, Central Columbia outscored Athens, 17-10.
Junior McKenna Jarvis led Athens with 14 points and three rebounds, while sophomore Alissa Vough added four points, two boards and three steals, and freshman Mya Allen, junior Megan Morgan, and freshman Bilikula Wennie each grabbed three rebounds.
Quinlan Blake led Central Columbia with 20 points.
Athens wraps up its 2025-26 campaign with a 10-13 record.
