VESTAL — Rylie Witman paced Waverly in a second-place finish here Friday afternoon at the Section IV, Class B Girls Bowling Championships at Midway Lanes.
Maine-Endwell won the team title with a three-game set of 2,194, while Waverly rolled a 2,114. Vestal was third at 1,513, and Owego was fourth at 1.417.
Witman rolled a 467 series, including a 183 in the third game, while Karis Hayes shot a 426, Ariel Houseknecht had a 419, and Aby Apgar added a 414.
Emily Houseknecht rolled games of 157 and 110, and Emmalynn Vanderpool tacked on a 121.
Waverly led the field after the first game with a 731, but M-E rolled a 761 to Waverly's 654 to take the lead for good.
Waverly returns to action next Saturday morning at the Division 2 State Qualifier at the Valley Bowling Center.
