LEWISBURG, Pa. — Athens junior Brayden Pettitt earned his second medal, broke his second school-record of the weekend and earned the third medal of his career here Saturday at Day 2 of the PIAA, Class AA Swimming & Diving Championships at Bucknell University.
Pettitt, who won a seventh-place medal in the 200-yard IM Friday, placed seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 58.32 seconds, eclipsing his own school record of 58.72 seconds, which he set earlier in the day in the preliminaries.
The 400-yard relay foursome of Pettitt, and fellow juniors Eli Hicks, Dominic Musick, and Jacob Shores finished 22nd in a school-record time of 3:21.75.
The Lady Wildcat foursome of seniors Evelyn Panek, Elizabeth Denlinger, Olivia Thompson and junior Kaitlyn Leonard finished 28th in the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:54.50.
Senior Penelope Grubb finished 24th in the 1-meter diving competition.
