Valley Sports ReportATHENS — Junior Hudson Malanoski recorded Sayre's only win, and senior Emma Cole had a pair of top-three finishes here Wednesday afternoon in a NTL track & field meet at Alumni Stadium.
Malanoski won the shot put with a heave of 45-feet, 3/4-inches, and sophomore Zach Cross was 10th at 29-feet, 4-inches.
Malanoski finished fifth in the discus with a toss of 88-feet, 8-inches, and Cross was 11th in 62-feet, 1/2-inch.
Cole finished second in the discus with a toss of 74-feet, 9-inches. Cole placed third in the shot put with a heave of 23-feet, 11 3/4-inches
Junior Dominik Musick finished seventh in the 400-meter dash in 1:06.23.
Musick finished eighth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:36.83, and junior Glenn VanBenthuysen was 10th in 2:38.58.
VanBenthuysen was 12th in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4:40.39.
Malanoski was 18th in the 200-meter dash in a time of 28.0 seconds, and Musick was 22nd in 30.23 seconds. Malanoski was 24th in the 100-meter dash in 13.45 seconds
Freshman Lillyana Colon was 20th in the javelin with a throw of 31-feet, 10-inches.
Sayre returns to action Tuesday at home.
