Valley Sports ReportSAYRE — Senior Abby Burgess and sophomore Alissa Vough were triple-winners to lead Athens to wins over Sayre and Northeast Bradford here Tuesday afternoon in NTL girls track & field action, and Sayre senior Emma Cole was a double-winner.
"I think we had a really good meet," said Athens coach Mike Bronson. "I definitely saw progress from last week. We had some people try some different events to try and figure out where they best fit.
"I was really happy to see how a lot of the freshmen girls performed," he noted. "Stella Unger ran a really nice 800 to win, Bili Wennie, Latavia Catwell, and Eden Fedorchak give us some good depth in the sprints, and Charlotte Delamater is making good progress in the shot and disc.
