Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY — Senior Addison Hunt paced Waverly, but Corning pulled out a season-opening, 201-215, win here Tuesday afternoon in Section IV girls golf action at Tomasso's Golf Course.
Hunt shot a 47, while Sophia Sileo carded a 51, and Emilia Mitchell added a 57.
Alaina Nichols tacked on a 60 for the Wolverines, and Adriana Presher had a non-scoring round of 68.
Corning standout Delaney Abel shot the low round of the day with a 40.
Waverly return to action April 13, along with S-VE and Watkins Glen at the Corning Country Club.
