MANSFIELD — Senior Troy Beeman logged Waverly's only win of the day, while Kaylin Twedt paced the Wolverines with four top-four finishes here Thursday afternoon at the Molly Dry Memorial Invitational at Mansfield University.

Both the Waverly boys and girls teams finished sixth in the team standings.

GIRLS
Waverly's top two finishes in the meet were both relays.

Twedt teamed with seniors Haley Larrabee and Kaitlyn Sutton, and sophomore  Gianna Soprano to place second in the 400-meter relay in a time of 52.98 seconds.

Twedt and Sutton teamed with 8th-grader Kezlynn DeKay and junior Ryleigh Judson to finish second in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:19.59.

Twedt placed third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:03.98, and senior Haley Larrabee was eighth in 1:06.26.

Twedt was fourth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.38 seconds, and senior Kaitlyn Sutton placed seventh in 13.86 seconds.

Soprano placed fourth in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 52.98 seconds. She finished fifth in the pole vault at 7-feet.

Senior Mackenzie Chamberlain placed fifth in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 12:59.33, and junior Taylor Sinsabaugh was 10th in 15:03.35.

DeKay placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 18.99 seconds.

Sophomore Miah Correll place eighth in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 6:18.96. She finished ninth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:53.44.

DeKay finished 10th in the 200-meter dash in a time of 29.26 seconds, and freshman Brayleigh Kohler was 16th in 30.58 seconds.

Sophomore Kendall Rockwell finished 10th in the shot put with a heave of 25-feet, 9-inches. She was 13th in the high jump with a leap of 4-feet.

BOYS
Beeman won the discus with a toss of 137-feet, 4-inches, and junior Carson Rockwell placed eighth at 107-feet, 4-inches.

Beeman also placed fifth in the shot put with a heave of 40-feet, 3 1/4-inches.

Junior Jayden Washington placed third in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:07.57.

The 1,600-meter relay foursome of Washington, juniors Rhylee Stotler and Chase Wheeler, and sophomore Jesse Lantz placed fourth in a time of 3:47.89.

Stotler also placed fourth in the pole vault at 11-feet, 6-inches.

Junior Chase Hine finished sixth in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4:59.95.

Freshman Maddex Presher finished seventh in the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.49 seconds, while senior Andrew Larrabee was 19th in 25.98 seconds, and sophomore Connor Bentley was 11th in 26.14 seconds.

Sophomore Jaxon Chandler placed eighth in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 18.56 seconds. He ran an 18.35 in the prelims.

Jaxon Chandler finished ninth in the high jump at 5-feet, 4-inches, and freshman Wyatt Chandler was 11th at 5-feet, 2-inches.

Stotler finished ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 34-feet, 8-inches.

Presher finished 10th in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.45 seconds, and Wheeler was 11th in 12.47 seconds.

Waverly returns to action April 14 with a home meet against Owego and Corning.
