Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — It's spring break for three schools in the Valley, so the sports action will be limited, but there will still be quite a bit of baseball and softball action this week.
There are just 21 events on the docket this week, including five each on Tuesday and Thursday.
The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:
MONDAY (2)
• Tioga baseball and softball will square off with Marathon at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex in Cortland.
TUESDAY (5)
• Sayre hosts Athens and NP-Mansfield in an NTL track & field tri-meet.
• Sayre baseball and softball hosts crosstown rival Athens at Riverfront Park.
• Waverly hosts divisional rival Chenango Valley in STAC boys temps action.
WEDNESDAY (3)
• Tioga baseball and softball hosts IAC North foe Union Springs.
• Waverly hosts Johnson City in flag football action at Memorial Stadium.
THURSDAY (5)
• Sayre baseball and softball will host Wellsboro.
FRIDAY (2)
• Athens and Sayre are at the Northwest Area Track & Field Relays.
SATURDAY (4)
• Athens baseball and softball will be hosting NEB.
