MANSFIELD — North Penn-Liberty scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning to break open a close game en route to a six-inning, 10-0 victory over Sayre in NTL softball action here Saturday.
Haley Lirzelman’s two-run home run sparked the scoring effort. Elyna Booth and Maddie McNamara wrapped singles around an error, plating Booth to make it 4-0.
The Mounties combined four singles and a pair of errors into five runs in the sixth to bring the game to an end.
Litzeman paced a 14-hit attack for N-PL, going 3-for-4 with two runs and five RBI. Julia Kaczynski chipped in with three hits and four runs scored.
Rylee Lantz and Mikyah Brown had one hit apiece for the Redskins.
