SECTION IV GIRLS GOLF: WAVERLY GOES 2-1 ON THE ROAD (2026-04-13)

CORNING — When Waverly hosted Corning in the season opener, the Hawks won by 14 strokes at Tomasso's Golf Course. On Monday, the teams met again and Corning won again, but the Wolverines did trim a couple strokes off the difference, falling, 193-205, on the road at Corning Country Club.

Watkins Glen finished with a 245 while Spencer-Van Etten had an incomplete team.

Sophie Sileo paced Waverly with a 46 while Addison Hunt carded a 49. Emilia Mitchell shot a 52 and Olivia Cheresnowsky added a 68.

The Hawks’ Delaney Abel earned medalist honors with a 39 and Harper Abel added a 42. Tess Barber contributed a 49 for Corning and Kamryn Fusare scored a 63.

Zoe Martin shot 64 and Caroline Welch had a 71 in non-scoring roles for the Hawks.

The Lake Hawks received a 49 from Emily Melveney. Anna Franzese had a 63, Callie Tohafijian added a 65 and Mackenzie Fish tacked on a 68.

Lauren Gillette led S-VE with a 51 and Kelci Wright added a 67.
