NTL GIRLS TRACK & FIELD: VOUGH A TRIPLE-WINNER, BUT ATHENS FALLS TO TOWANDA, TIES WYALUSING (21 PHOTOS) (2026-04-15)

ATHENS — Sophomore Alissa Vough was a triple-winner, but Athens came up short against Towanda, and tied Wyalusing here Wednesday afternoon in an NTL Girls Track & Field tri-meet here at Alumni Field.

Towanda amassed 72 team points in earning a pair of wins, while Athens and Wyalusing both tallied 56 points.

“Our girls had a great meet tonight," said Athens coach Mike Bronson. "We really had a lot of girls PR tonight.

"Kaitlyn Leonard had a great night triple and long jumping," he noted. "Billie Wennie got her first win in the 200, and Alissa Vough was a triple-winner.

"We are definitely making progress and I think the girls are really seeing their hard work pay off," added Bronson.

Vough won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:34.1, while freshman Stella Unger was third in 2:46.98, and sophomore Marlene Roelle was fourth in 2:49.17.

Vough won the 1,600-meter run in a time of 6:14.54, and freshman Stella Unger was second in 6:24.37.

Vough also won the 3,200-meter run in a time of 14:12.6.

Senior Lizzie Gorsline won the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 51.21 seconds. She finished second in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 17.62 seconds.

Freshman Bilikula Wennie won the 200-meter dash in am time of 28.33 seconds, and junior Kaitlyn Leonard was fourth in 29.0 seconds.

Wennie finished second in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.53 seconds, and sophomore Ella Marhefka was fourth in 13.95 seconds.

Marlene Roelle finished second in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:07.7, and freshman Eden Fedorchak was fourth in 1:08.99.

Leonard finished second in the long jump with a mark of 14-feet, 10-inches. Leonard also placed second in the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 32-feet, 7-inches.

Sophomore Annika Lezak finished third in the javelin with a throw of 96-feet, 3-inches.

Freshman Charlotte Delamater finished fourth in the discus with a toss of 72-feet, 6-inches.

Sophomore Maleah Hadlock placed fourth in the shot put with a heave of 28-feet, 5-inches.

Athens, now 6-2-1, return to action Tuesday when it hosts NEB, Troy, and Williamson.
