JOHNSON CITY — Sophomore Jaxon Chandler paced Waverly, and senior Troy Beeman and junior Rhylee Stotler also reached the podium for the Wolverines here Saturday at the Square Deal Track & Field Invitational.
Waverly scored five team points, and finished 22nd in a 28-team field.
Jaxon Chandler had the best individual finish of the day for the Wolverines, placing fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:03.79.
Jaxon Chandler was ninth in the 110-meter hurdles in 18.63 seconds, and freshman Wyatt Chandler was 25th in 22.25 seconds.
Jaxon Chandler finished 17th in the high jump at 5-feet, 6-inches, and Wyatt Chandler was 20th in 5-feet, 3-inches.
Beeman placed sixth in the discus with a toss of 125-feet, 3-inches. He was ninth in the shot put with a heave of 40-feet, 1/2-inch.
Junior Rhylee Stotler was sixth in the pole vault at 12-feet, and sophomore Jesse Lantz was eighth at 11-feet, 6-inches.
Stotler and Lantz teamed with senior Andrew Larrabee, and sophomore Chase Wheeler to finish sixth in the 400-meter relay in a time of 46.64 seconds.
Jaxon Chandler, Stotler, Lantz, and Wheeler teamed to finish 10th in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 3:50.36.
Junior Chase Hine finished 16th in a time of 4:57.89, and sophomore Hayden Montanye was 25th in 5:12.2.
Senior Hayden Howe finished 23rd in the 400-meter run in a time of 56.87 seconds.
Larrabee finished 25th in the 200-meter dash in 25.42 seconds.
Waverly returns to action Tuesday in a dual at Chenango Valley, then Friday at the Lasagna Invite at Wyalusing High School.
