WINDSOR — Windsor swept all four singles matches, including a decisive three-set tiebreaker, in a 4-3 win over Waverly here Tuesday afternoon in STAC boys tennis action.
The Black Knights won the first three singles matches decisively, but the fourth singles match went to the wire.
Windsor's Kaden Chapman won the first set, 6-3, but Waverly's Owen Fassett bounced back with a 6-4 win in the second set. Chapman pulled out a 7-6 decision in the third set, thanks to an 8-6 win in the tiebreaker.
The Wolverines won all three doubles matches.
Trent VanDyke and Collin Wheeler won a 6-0, 6-2 sweep in the second doubles, and Kam Sorenson and Alvin Gao teamed in a 6-1, 6-1 sweep in the third doubles.
In the first doubles, Finn Williams and Tammo Bruns dropped a 7-5 decision in the first set. They led 1-0 in the second set when the Windsor duo was forced to retire.
Waverly, now 4-2, returns to action Wednesday at Norwich.
