TOWANDA — Junior Hudson Malanoski and senior Emma Cole logged Sayre's only wins and each placed in two events in an NTL track & field tri-meet here Tuesday at the Endless Mountains Sports Complex.
BOYS
WYALUSING 102, TOWANDA 71, SAYRE 9
Malanoski won the shot put with a heave of 47-feet, 7 1/2-inches. He placed third in the discus with a toss of 103-feet, 1-inch.
Junior Glenn VanBenthuysen placed third in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:25.77. He was fifth in the 1,600-meter run in 5:33.10.
Junior Austin Quattrini finished sixth in the pole vault at 8-feet.
GIRLS
WYALUSING 89, TOWANDA 76, SAYRE 8
Emma Cole won the discus with a toss of 80-feet, 5-inches. She placed fourth in the shot put with a heave of 26-feet, 9 1/2-inches.
Freshman Lillyana Colon placed third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 31.78 seconds.
Colon was seventh in the 100-meter dash in 15.12 seconds, and junior Maryze Rivera was 13th in 17.84 seconds.
Colon was ninth in the javelin with a throw of 48-feet, 7-inches.
Rivera finished seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 21-feet, 8 3/4-inches, and was 13th in the long jump at 9-feet, 4-inches.
Sayre returns to action in its final regular-season meet Tuesday at Wyalusing.
