WYALUSING — Sophomore Kaylin Twedt placed in four events to pace the Waverly girls to an 11th-place finish here Friday at the Lasagna Track & Field Invitational, while junior Rhylee Stotler was the top finisher for the boys teams.
LADY WOLVERINES FINISH 11TH IN 25-TEAM FIELD
Twedt placed second in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:01.04, and senior Haley Larrabee was sixth in 1:05.71.
Twedt was fifth in the 200-meter dash in 26.94 seconds, and 8th-grader Kezlynn DeKay was ninth in 28.07 seconds.
Twedt, Larrabee, and DeKay teamed with junior Ryleigh Judson to place second on the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:17.61.
Twedt and DeKay teamed with sophomore Gianna Soprano, and senior Kaitlyn Sutton to finish sixth in the 400-meter relay in a time of 52.84 seconds.
Soprano finished 10th in the 300-meter dash in a time of 52.21 seconds. She was 16th in the pole vault at 7-feet.
Senior Mackenzie Chamberlain was 12th in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 12:34.22.
Sutton finished 12th in 100-meter dash in a time of 13.47 seconds, and DeKay was 14th in 13.55 seconds.
WAVERLY BOYS FINISH 22ND IN 28-TEAM FIELD
Stotler placed fifth in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 12-feet, while sophomore Jesse Lantz was 11th at 10-feet.
Senior Troy Beeman placed eighth in the discus with a toss of 130-feet, 8-inches.
Stotler and Lantz teamed with freshman Maddex Presher and junior Chase Wheeler to finish eighth in the 400-meter relay in a time of 46.46 seconds.
Junior Chase Hine, freshman James Cole, and sophomores Garret Akins, and Hayden Montanye teamed to finish eighth in the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 9:21.42.
Sophomore Jaxon Chandler finished 15th in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 45.3 seconds. He was 17th in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 18.19 seconds, and was also 17th in the high jump at 5-feet, 4-inches.
Waverly returns to action Wednesday at Horseheads.
