NTL SOFTBALL: NORTHEAST BRADFORD RIDES BIG INNING TO 21-4 THREE-INNING WIN AT SAYRE (2026-05-04)

SAYRE — Northeast Bradford poured 14 runs across the plate in the second inning on its way to a quick, 21-2, three-inning win over Sayre here Monday afternoon in NTL Small School Division softball action at Riverfront Park.

The Panthers scored four runs in the top of the first inning, but the Redskins answered with two runs in the home half of the frame on two-out RBI singles by junior Zoey Ward and freshman Allia Bennett.

NEB took advantage of four Sayre errors and a hit batsman in the second inning, but rapped out 11 hits, including four extra-base hits, to extend the lead to 18-2.

Ward singled, scored one run, and drove in one run, and Bennett singled, and scored one run, while freshman Aftyn VanDuzer and sophomore Jade Roberts added singles to account for Sayre's four hits.

Ward was tagged with the loss. She allowed six earned runs, while striking out four and walking none.

Sayre, now 1-13, hosts Troy Tuesday.
