STAC GIRLS TRACK & FIELD: TWEDT, SOPRANO LEAD WAVERLY TO WINS OVER VESTAL, SETON CATHOLIC (23 PHOTOS) (2026-05-04)

WAVERLY — Sophomore Kaylin Twedt won four events, and sophomore Gianna Soprano was a triple-winner to lead Waverly to wins over Vestal and Seton Catholic here Monday afternoon in a STAC girls track & field double dual.

Waverly edged Vestal, 70-60, and topped Seton Catholic, 91-18.

Kaylin Twedt won the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.73 seconds, while senior Kaitlyn Sutton placed second in 13.16 seconds, and 8th-grader Kezlynn DeKay was third in 13.32 seconds.

Kaylin Twedt also won the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:01.09 seconds.

Soprano won the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:12.72, and senior Haley Larrabee was second in 1:13.14.

Soprano won the pole vault with a mark of 7-feet, and freshman Brynna Twedt was second at 6-feet.

Kaylin Twedt, Soprano, Sutton and DeKay teamed to win the 400-meter relay in a time of 51.33 seconds.

Kaylin Twedt teamed with Sutton, Larrabee, and junior Ryleigh Judson to win the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:19.19.

Senior Mackenzie Chamberlain won the 3,000-meter run in a time of 12:25.78, and junior Taylor Sinsabaugh was second in 14:53.05. 

Sophomore Kendall Rockwell won the discus with a toss of 77-feet, 3 3/4-inches, and Leraya Teeter was fourth at 59-feet, 6 1/2 inches. 

Rockwell was second in the shot put with a heave of 25-feet, 1 1/2-inches, and Lerya Teeter was third at 22-feet, 9-inches. Rockwell placed second in the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches.

Brynna Twedt was second in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 19.85 seconds.

Miranda Ferger was third in the long jump at 13-feet, 1-inch, and DeKay was fourth at 12-feet, 3-inches.

Sophomore Miah Correll placed second in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 6:00.94. She finished fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:51.57.

Waverly returns to action Friday at the Hornell Invitational.
