NTL SOFTBALL: TROY ROLLS TO 16-4 WIN OVER SAYRE (2026-05-05)

SAYRE — Troy scored 11 times in the top of the fourth inning to open up a 16-0 lead on its way to a 16-4 five-inning win over Sayre here Tuesday afternoon in NTL softball action at Riverfront Park.

The Trojans led 4-0 after the first half-inning, then led 5-0 after 2 1/2 innings.

The Redskins got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning on a bases-load walk to senior Mikyah Brown, an RBI single by Zoey Ward, then added the final run of the rally on an error.

Sophomore McKenna Parrish drove in Sayre's final run in the fifth inning on a groundout.

Senior Olivia Thompson and sophomore Paige Secrist each singled and scored one run, and Ward singled and drove in one run to account for Sayre's three hits. Brown scored one run, and drove in one run, while senior Rylee Lantz scored one run, and Parrish had one RBI.

Sayre, now 1-14, returns to action Thursday at Towanda.
