Valley Sports ReportWELLSBORO — Carson Beeman and Ember Jones paced Sayre's efforts at the NTL Junior High Track & Field Championships here Tuesday afternoon at Wellsboro High School.
BOYS
Beeman placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 20.1 seconds.
Beeman finished 13th in the 200-meter dash in 30.07 seconds, while Mason Belcher was 20th in 31.16 seconds, and Menio was 26th in 32.98 seconds.
Belcher finished 16th in the 100-meter dash in 14.35 seconds, while Beeman was 17th in 14.53 seconds, and Peter Menio was 24th in 15.18 seconds.
Belcher (1:11.66) and Menio (1:16.56) finished 22nd and 23rd, respectively, in the 400-meter dash.
GIRLS
Jones placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 12-feet, 8 1/4-inches, and Layla Banfield was 21st at 9-feet, 7 1/2-inches.
Ava Rich finished seventh in the shot put with a heave of 25-feet, 5-inches, and Paisley Malanoski was 20th at 18-feet, 11-inches.
Rich finished 15th in the discus with a toss of 41-feet, 3-inches, and Malanoski was 17th at 37-feet, 1-inch.
Jones was 20th in the 200-meter dash in 32.22 seconds, and Banfield was 35th in 36.34 seconds.
Jones finished 24th in the 100-meter dash in 15.68 seconds, and Banfield was 34th in 16.84 seconds.
