IAC BASEBALL: MORAVIA JUMPS OUT EARLY IN 10-3 WIN OVER TIOGA (2026-05-07)

MORAVIA — Moravia scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning on its way to a 10-3 win over Tioga here Thursday afternoon in IAC Small School Division baseball action.
Senior Max Paugh's RBI single in the top of the first put the Tigers up 1-0, but the Blue Devils answered with five runs to take a 5-1 lead.
Tioga closed the gap to 5-2 with a run in the top of the second inning, but Moravia stretched its advantage to 10-2 after six innings.
Junior Cooper Dember's two-out solo home run for the Tigers in the top of the seventh inning provided the final margin.
Dember homered, scored two runs, and drove in one run, and sophomore Cam Ross singled, scored one run, and knocked in one run to pace Tioga's six-hit attack, while Paugh singled and drove in one run, sophomore Josh Rought singled and scored one run, and Jacob Guiles and Brayden Lounsbury each added a single.
Tioga, now 5-6, returns to action Saturday when it hosts Sayre.
