LADY WOLVERINES PLACE FOURTH, WAVERLY BOYS FIFTH IN 19-TEAM FIELDS

HORNELL — Sophomore Kaylin Twedt had four top-three finishes, and sophomore Gianna Soprano had four top-six finishes to lead the Waverly girls to a fourth-place finish, while junior Rhylee Stotler logged the Wolverines' only individual first-place finish here Friday night at Hornell Track & Field Invite.

The host Red Raiders ran away with the team title, amassing 124 points, while Springville was second with 93 points, Waylon-Cohocton was third with 49.5 points, Waverly was fourth with 42.5 points, and Danville was fifth with 36 points.
Twedt and Soprano teamed with senior Kaitlyn Sutton and freshman Kezlynn DeKay to place second in the 400-meter relay in a time of 51.82 seconds.
Twedt and Sutton teamed with senior Haley Larrabee, and junior Ryleigh Judson to place second in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:20.21.
Kaylin Twedt finished third in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.99 seconds, and DeKay was 11th in 13.99 seconds.
Kaylin Twedt was also third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.7 seconds, and Sutton was fourth in 27/.37 seconds.
Soprano finished third in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:12.8, and Larrabee was ninth in 1:18.13.
Soprano was sixth in the pole vault at 7-feet,1-inch, and freshman Brynna Twedt was 10th at 6-feet, 1-inch.
Senior Mackenzie Chamberlain placed fourth in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 12:00.39, and junior Taylor Sinsabaugh was 12th in 13:54.79.
Freshman Leraya Teeter finished ninth in the discus with a toss of 76-feet, 3-inches, and sophomore Kendall Rockwell was 13th in 68-feet, 11-inches.
Rockwell was also 13th in the shot put at 24-feet, 11-inches.
Freshman Miranda Ferger was 13th in the long jump at 13-feet, 4-inches.
Brynna Twedt was 16th in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 20.37 seconds.
WAVERLY BOYS TIE FOR FIFTH IN 19-TEAM FIELD
Stotler won the pole vault, clearing the bar at 12-feet, 1-inch.
Juniors Jayden Washington and Chase Hine, freshman James Cole, and sophomore Hayden Montanye teamed to win the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 8:37.84.
Stotler and Hine teamed with freshman Maddex Presher and senior Andrew Larrabee teamed to finish third in the 400-meter relay in a time of 46.82 seconds.
The foursome of sophomores Drayton DeKay, Isaac Voorhees, and Liam Arnold, and junior Rylen Larson placed third in the throwers' 400-meter relay in a time of 54.18 seconds.
Senior Troy Beeman placed third in the discus with a toss of 128-feet, 11-inches, and junior Carson Rockwell was 13th in 98-feet, 3-inches.
Beeman was sixth in the shot put with a heave of 38-feet, 7 1/2-inches, and Rockwell was 13th at 32-feet, 9-inches.
Washington finished fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:09.97, and Cole was fifth in 23:10.97.
Washington and DeKay teamed with freshman Braiden Judson and senior Hayden Howe to finish fourth in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 3:44.35.
Hine placed fifth in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4:52.35, and Montanye was 13th in 5:00.44
Junior Chase Wheeler was seventh in a time of 11.96 seconds, and Presher was 13th in 12.23 seconds.
Wheeler was ninth in the 200-meter dash in 24.64 seconds.
Judson was eighth in 400-meter dash in a time of 55.35 seconds, and Howe was 14th in 57.54 seconds.
Eighth-grader Garret Akins was eighth in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 12:36.82.
Freshman Wyatt Chandler finished eight in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 20.76 seconds.
Sophomore Eli Thomas was 14th in the triple jump with a mark of 27-feet, 10-inches.
Freshman Ethan Reedy was 15th in the long jump with a leap of 16-feet, 10 3/4-inches.
Waverly returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Chenango Forks.
