IAC BASEBALL: UNION SPRINGS ROLLS TO 20-3 WIN OVER TIOGA (2026-05-11)

UNION SPRINGS, N.Y. — State-ranked Union Springs poured 13 runs across the plate in the third inning on its way to a 20-3 five-inning win over Tioga here Monday afternoon in IAC crossover baseball action.
Tioga took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a sacrifice fly off the bat of junior Cooper Dember.
The Wolves, ranked 10th in the state in Class C, answered with four runs in the home half of the first inning to take a 4-1 lead.
Junior Brendan Clark's RBI single in the top of the second to close the gap to 4-2, but Union Springs scored one run in the bottom of the inning to make it 5-2.
After the Wolves stretched the lead to 18-2 after three innings, Clark plated Tioga's final run in the game with an RBI triple in the top of the fourth inning.
Clark tripled and singled, and had two RBI to pace Tioga's six-hit attack, while sophomore Cam Ross, and freshman Jaxon Bidwell each singled and scored one run, Dember singled and drove in one run, and senior Max Paugh added a single.
Tioga, now 5-7, hosts Newfield Wednesday.
