MILTON — Junior Graham Wanck and senior Brenden Comstock each won silver medals at Day 1 of the District 4, Class 3A Boys Track & Field Championships here Thursday at Milton High School.
Athens is in third place with 21.5 points, while Shikellamy sits atop the standings with 74 points, and Williamsport is second with 48.
Graham Wanck placed second in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 9:45.01, while senior Parker Wanck was ninth in 10:28.71, and junior Alex Arcesi was 13th in 11:06.08.
Comstock placed second in the discus with a toss of 145-feet, 1-inch, and junior Hayden Bartlow was 13th in 111-feet, 9-inches.
Senior Alex Thompson, juniors Lucas Persun and Matt Rossettie, and freshman Avery Gorsline teamed to place fourth in the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 8:31.37.
Senior Chase Ingram placed eighth in the pole vault at 10-feet, 9-inches.
Freshman Gavin Ross finished 10th in the high jump at 5-feet, 5-inches.
Freshman Shayan Ankam finished 12th in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 18.61 seconds, and Ingram was 13th in 18.68 seconds.
Freshman Iziah Bailey was 12th in the triple jump at 37-feet, 8-inches.
Junior Ryder Morley finished 16th in the 100-meter dash in 11.92 seconds

Junior Hudson Malanoski placed seventh in the shot put with a heave of 47-feet, 3 1/2-inches.
Day 2 action begins Saturday at 10 a.m. at Milton High School.
