Valley Sports ReportMARATHON — Junior Jackson Bombard and senior Owen Seaver shot matching rounds and broke 90 to lead Tioga to a fifth-place finish here Monday afternoon at the Section IV, Class C boys golf championships at Maple Hills Golf Course.
Bombard and Seaver each 44 of the front nine and 44 on the back nine for matching rounds of 88.
Tioga shot a five-player 18-hole aggregate scored o4 478, while Chenango Valley won the team title at 426, Lansing was second at 432, Oneonta was fourth at 443, and Chenango Forks was fourth at 459.
Sophomore Drayke Ulrich shot a 95 (46-49) for the Tigers, while junior Gavin Kithcart carded a 97 (46-51), and junior Declan McKee added a 110 (50-60).
Owen Parker tacked on a non-scoring round of 112 (54-58).
Bombard will play Wednesday in the Section IV Individual Medalist Tournament at Mark Twain Golf Course.
