Valley Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — Senior Sophia Sileo had the second-best round of the day, leading Waverly to wins over Horseheads and Elmira here Monday afternoon in a four-team Section IV girls golf match at Soaring Eagles Golf Club.
Sophomore Delaney Abel shot a 2-under par round of 34 to lead Corning's four-player aggregate score of 196, while Sileo's 46 led Waverly to a 200. Horseheads was 1-2 on the day with a 230, and Elmira carded a 265.
Senior Addison Hunt shot a 50 for the Wolverines, while sophomore Emilia Mitchell shot a 51, and senior Olivia Cheresnowsky carded a 53.
Senior Alaina Nichols tacked on a non-scoring round of 65.
Jemma Randall and Ellie Padgett led Horseheads with rounds of 56, and Hannah Reynolds and Kiersten Oakley each shot 62 to pace Elmira.
