DISTRICT 6 LITTLE LEAGUE (MAJORS): WAVERLY WRAPS UP POOL PLAY WITH 11-1 LOSS TO BATH (2026-07-01)

BATH — Bath jumped ahead early and cruised to an 11-1 win over Waverly here Wednesday evening in the final game of pool play in the District 6 Little League Baseball Majors Division playoffs.

Bath scored four runs in the home half of the first inning, and two more in the second to take a 6-0 lead.

After Bath scored twice in the fourth to take an 8-0 lead, Waverly got on the board in the top of the fifth to close the gap to 8-1, but Bath closed out the game via the 10-run rule with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Brody Payne doubled and Asher Reznicek singled to account for Waverly's two hits, and Chase Seager scored the team's lone run.

Waverly, which wraps up pool play at 0-5, returns to action in bracket play Monday.
