Valley Sports ReportSAYRE — Allegheny Mountain scored 10 runs in the top of the second inning to erase an early deficit, then pulled away for a 25-6 win over Sayre here Saturday afternoon in consolation bracket action in the District 15 Little League Baseball Majors Division playoffs.
Sayre scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 4-1 lead, but trailed 11-4 heading into the bottom of the second.
Sayre scored twice in the home half of the second to close the gap to 11-6, but wouldn't score again. Allegheny Mountain poured it on with six runs in the third inning, and eight more in the fourth.
Jaxon Morgan had three hits, including a double, and scored two runs, and Gavin Roof singled twice and scored two runs to pace Sayre's seven-hit attack.
Jackson Shannon singled, scored one run, and had three RBI for Sayre, while Maddox Myers singled and drove in two runs, Jaxon Burch knocked in one run, and Griffin Varner scored one run.
