Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY — Freshman Lilah Carlson earned low-medal honors to help Athens to a tie with Towanda here Wednesday afternoon at The Club at Shepard Hills in the third NTL girls golf match of the season.
Athens and Towanda each shot a three-player aggregate score of 304 to tie for first in the match, while Wyalusing was third with a 416, and Sayre shot a 420.
Carlson fired an 89, and junior Brooke Lyon shot a 95 to finish third in the individual standings. Annie Davis added a 120 for the Wildcats, and Hailey Smith added a non-scoring round of 157.
Towanda's Olivia Heath shot a 94, and Rosie Glantz carded a 96 to finish second and fourth on the day. Izzy Repsher and Payton Perry each posted rounds of 114 for the Black Knights to tie for fifth.
The NTL golfers return to action Sept. 8.
