Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — Athens senior Connor Davidson accounted for five TDs in the Wildcats' season-opening win, and senior Eli Hicks and freshman Lilah Carlson earned low-medal honors at the weekly NTL match. They are the Valley Sports Report / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Aug. 29.
ATHENS' DAVIDSON, HICKS NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK'
Davidson completed nine of 10 passes for 97 yards and four TDs in a 44-0 win over Wyalusing.
He also ran the ball five times for 98 yards, and returned a punt 51 yards for a score.
Hicks shot a low-medal round of 70 at The Club at Shepard Hills. The round included an eagle and four birdies.
Hicks shot a 78 at Wellsboro's Tyoga Country Club, and an 80 at the Towanda Country Club.

ATHENS' CARLSON NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK'
Carlson shot an 89 at The Club at Shepard Hills to win low-medal honors and lead the Wildcats to their third win in a row.
Carlson also shot rounds of 77 at Tyoga Country Club, and 90 at the Towanda Country Club to start the season.
