Valley Sports ReportWYALUSING — Sayre forced a fourth set, but Wyalusing prevailed, 3-1, here Tuesday night in NTL volleyball action.
The Rams won the first two sets by scores of 25-14 and 25-21, but the Redskins rallied to pull out a 25-23 decision in the third set.
Wyalusing closed out the match with a 25-16 win in the fourth set.
Junior Reghan McGaughey had 18 digs, 10 kills, and two services aces, and junior Yhale Doon recorded 14 digs, one block, 13 setter assists, and three aces to lead Sayre, while senior Alex Schack had 22 digs, five kills, and two aces.
Junior Grace Russo had 20 digs and four aces for the Redskins, while senior Azalea McClenny registered six kills, three blocks, and two digs, freshman Mylee Medina had eight digs, freshman Ember Jones added two kills and three digs, and junior Emily Strickland chipped in with two kills and two blocks.
Sayre, now 1-2, returns to action Thursday at Cowanesque Valley.
