Valley Sports ReportWESTFIELD, Pa. — Sayre bounced back from consecutive losses with a sweep of Cowanesque Valley here Thursday night in NTL Small School volleyball action.
The Redskins pulled out a 26-24 win in the first set, then dominated the next two sets, winning 25-11 and 25-16.
Senior Alex Schack led Sayre with 10 kills, seven aces, and four digs, while junior Yhale Doon had 18 setter assists, three aces, and two digs, and junior Reghan McGaughey registered 10 kills and three digs.
Junior Grace Russo recorded eight digs in the win, while senior Azalea McClenny had two kills and one block, freshman Mylee Medina added two digs, and junior Emily Strickland chipped in with two aces.
Sayre, now 2-2, returns to action Saturday at Sugar Valley Rural Charter.
